About L'ARCHET Concert Group

I’m happy to report that L’ARCHET is celebrating great success in its fifth year serving the Monroe/Northampton County region.

Our signature concerts given at Cohen Hall at East Stroudsburg University—no less than seven this season—continue to draw capacity audiences to superb Classical Music programs given by young artists embarked on international careers. These concerts have drawn visitors from a large radius of Philadelphia to New York to Scranton, and they assemble an exceptionally diverse group of listeners from the young to the old.

Our work in the region includes consulting services for Arts organizations, support of outstanding young musicians and of community and school music programs, and educational outreach through our videos and news.

In additional to superb young musicians in the debut years of their performance, this season L’ARCHET welcomes long-established AND internationally recognized artists like Avery Fisher Prizewinner Violinist Stephanie Chase and Anne Trout, America’s foremost performer on the Violone who will bring her ensemble CIRCOLO MAGGINI to Cohen Hall in Fall 2018.

L’ARCHET this season also presents again for a second time The American Classical Orchestra, one of the world’s foremost Early Music ensembles, in a gala concert of baroque concertos led by Thomas Crawford.

We have major plans in the works: Our next goal is an annual summer festival on the campus of East Stroudsburg University. A core group of L’ARCHET artists and their students will take up residence on the campus for two weeks of whole-hearted music making, which they will share with the public in selected concerts. We hope to have a start date to announce soon.

I invite you to talk to us at L’ARCHET about your interests and ambitions, especially for younger musicians. Our partnership with you is just getting started!
